Heb 12:1-2 1 Therefore,
since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw
off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and
let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix
our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the
joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down
at the right hand of the throne of God. (NIV) This is a scripture I know I use a lot but it is the slogan of our ministry so to speak.
It
is a great scripture and we should examine it, it speaks of the sin
that we are surrounded by every day. It says we need to get out of the
bad habits of the world and keep our eyes focused on the goal. We should
not allow those around us who would cause us to stumble to get a
foothold on us. Just as Jesus kept his eye on the job he had come to do,
we must be the same! Paul in writing this book related it to a race,
which seams to stem from his love for Olympic type games that were
popular in his day. I just love it when I can play a little and relate
it to an auto race! We sure are thankful for the opportunity to serve you in this fashion and want to thank CMC for the space!
